With more than 40 years of experience, Tim has managed projects through state, county and local governmental approval processes. He has also worked as a consultant to numerous municipalities.
Tim received his formal training at Rutgers University. He continually builds on his knowledge through industry-related education.
Since returning to his native Long Island in 2005, his work experience has grown to include the application of Low Impact Design strategies for communities on Long Island and within NYC. Recently, Steve has worked on progressive stormwater design projects in Queens that are helping to redefine the urban environment and reduce stormwater runoff into surrounding waterways. Steve is inspired by an integrative design process that provides clients with thoughtful and sustainable solutions that meet and exceed project objectives. He lives with his wife and two children in Riverhead. In his spare time, Steve enjoys hiking and camping with his family and exploring the beautiful terrain of the northeast.
Rebecca Brown grew up on the East End of Long Island where she spent many years working in the Horticulture Industry, gaining a widespread knowledge of the local plant ecology, before relocating to the central coast of California. While in California, she studied Landscape Architecture at California Polytechnic State University and started her career and built design work experience in the field of Landscape Architecture. Rebecca describes herself as “a bit of plant geek” whom loves to learn and apply unique flora throughout the diverse ecology of the North and South Forks of Long Island. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, dog and family on the beautiful beaches of the East End.
Daria Szalinkska, a native of Poland, holds a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Warsaw University of Life Science. Daria has an widespread horticulture background from her native Poland as well from working in the field on the East End of Long Island before becoming a Landscape Architect with Araiys Design. Along with her extensive plant knowledge, passion for design and for the outdoors; she is the perfect addition to the Araiys Design team as she creates amazing outdoor spaces and breathtaking landscape designs.
Yi Yang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from China where she began her interest and journey of studying landscape design. It was the great passion for the landscape design field that made Yi decided to study abroad and come to earn a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Over the years, Yi has committed herself to the pursuit of landscape design knowledge from multiple academic works. She has also developed professional skills from the experience of internships and teaching assistantships. Her knowledge of landscape design fundamentals, proficiency in multiple digital software, and commitment to the design process from initial schematic design to final construction documents is an asset for Araiys Design and all the clients we serve.
Jun Wang graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University, where he later decided to continue his education, and earned a Master’s degree. Beside school work, Jun has spent most of his time outside school exploring diverse options that inspires him to be a good designer. For example, the Ye Lang Valley Design & Build studio which has drawn national attention in China, enlightened his interest in bringing designs into reality and visualize their positive impact on people’s life.
Equipped with general knowledge of rendering software and Adobe suites, Jun is interested in opportunity for creative problem-solving. With a fresh perspective from a fresh graduate, Jun is a good fit to the entry-level position in Araiys Design.
